I have no way of knowing if this is true or not, but if it is, it's funny as hell.

Wow. Now that's some high quality material right there.

My loathing of stupid people has now gone to even further extremes. And I thought it'd never be possible to push myself that far...

That was just great! It's amazing what people will fall for. Show what kind of hacker he really was.

ROFLMAO!!! That was awesome. My question is, how did he get a program to delete hard drives, but didn't know his own ip and didn't know he was deleting his own computer?

Hahahaha Oh how I love those great IRC stories.

He was probably fortunate enough to get the program from a freind or something.

Funny as hell, though I am a little disturbed how someone who couldn't even see through such a trick got his hands on such a device.

Yeah it disturbs me that there even is such a device.

lol that's hilarious. Although I doubt that program even exists. The only way a program could delete someone else's hard drives would be to infect them with a worm/virus first, then connect to that worm and make it start the attack.

I do not believe there is any possible way to simply connect to someone's pc like he supposidly did there. I don't think there are any vulnerabilities in any operating system that bad to be able to exploit to these sort of ends.

It'd be interesting to see if anyone could confirm this for me. That was a great laugh though!

Well .. its all a matter of how vulnerable the target system is .. and how ummm.. 'stupid' the primary user of the target system is. Nmap to get you started anyone?
